I was raised in the small town of Thurmont in rural Maryland. After graduation I attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where I studied Education, Business but majored in having fun. It was there I discovered my passion for creating simple and delicious food. After college, I continued to venture south to Charlotte, NC where I attended Johnson and Wales. My journey south continued to beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC where I led a restaurant group as Executive Chef of 5 of the greatest restaurants in the area. After meeting my wife, we decided to slow down slightly and leave the chaos of the restaurant life to focus on family life. Together we started a seafood company, Two Sons Seafood. Through this venture, I had the amazing privilege of working with our local fishermen and connect them with the best chefs from Charleston to Wilmington. When the restaurant industry was shut down due to Covid, we were forced to quickly pivot into the retail arena, creating the areas first online seafood market. While not dining out, our customers where hungry, pun intended, to learn how to replicate their restaurant favorites at home. Just like that, our cooking classes were born and were a hit from the start, selling out months in advance. Those classes have led us in front of the camera with my YouTube show "On The Hook" and nationally on The Cooking Channel as one of 3 judges on "Chef Swap at the Beach". It certainly has been a wild ride, with tons of ups, downs and uncertainty, requiring lots of faith to keep moving. We never know Gods plan for us and I can't wait to see what He has in store for my family and me next. Now Let's Cook!!
My beautiful wife Angela and my friend and mentor Holly. They would tell you that I need them both just to keep me out of trouble...I will tell you that I couldn't dream of doing it without them.
Angela and I are the proud "zookeepers" have two incredibly smart, energetic and exhausting little boys named Hudson and Lennox, and our angel butterfly baby Mia Rose.
My goal is to bring happiness and make memories one delicious bite at a time. Either through cooking class or a special occasion in your life, good food makes everything better, and it's my passion. Let's Cook!!
Join us on The Cooking Channel as my fellow judges and I, take local chefs out of their comfort zones and into a neighboring restaurant's kitchen, where they will have just an hour to prepare a dish that will not only fit on the menu, but impress myself and fellow judges.
Come learn super simple but extremely delicious recipes, meet local fishermen, hear their amazing "tales", and meet some of our extremely hardworking local chefs who work tirelessly to give our greatest natural resource the passion and care it deserves!

We typically post schedules at least a month in advance. Classes typically fill up extremely quickly, and spots are limited. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter and follow our social media accounts to be alerted as soon as new schedules are posted.
Yes, I am able to create dishes that are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan. Please let me know of any dietary restrictions when booking my services.
Private classes can have as many as 8 guests, and we try to schedule them on Monday or Tuesday evenings. Shoot us an email with a date or a couple of dates that might work for you so that we can try and coordinate schedules.
Our public classes are held in Pawleys Island in the beautiful Prodigy Kitchen and Bath Showroom (8435 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island). Our private classes are held in The Reserve in Pawleys Island
The cost of my services varies depending on the number of people I am cooking for and the complexity of the dishes. Please contact me for a personalized quote.
Our Private Catering service is definitely the way to go. We will come to your home or venue, and take care of everything, allowing you to focus 100% on your guests and enjoying yourself. Shoot us an email with the specifics of your event and together we will create a menu you will never forget.
All of our classes are BYOB. We do provide a selection of soda and water.
